 Preferred Pilates                               

Beginners I or II  

(8 person limit)                     

April 5th-26th, Tuesdays (6:30-7:30pm)           

(60.00 per 4 week session)                                                                   

Instructor: Kathleen Klapatauskas                                       

 A system of exercises developed for strengthening, stretching and improving fitness. A customized program can meet specific needs ranging from advanced fitness to exercises modified for back, neck, hip, or knee pain. Wonderful for the abdomen area and overall well-being. Participants should wear loose clothing. Exercise mats are recommended, but not required. Each participant receives a packet containing written instruction for all exercises taught in the course.

 Pilates Intermediate                                          

(8 person limit)                     

April 5th – 28th,Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30pm

($35.00 per 4 eek session)

 Beginners I and II is a prerequisite to Intermediate Pilates. Participants will expand on their knowledge and techniques of this form of exercise.  

 Tai Chi Chih – Joy thru Movement

March 10th – April 7th, Thursdays (session one)

April 14th – May 12th , Thursdays (session two)

($50.00 per 5 week session)

Level  I  4:30 - 5:30pm

Level  III  - 5:30pm – 6:30 pm (previous classes required)

Tai Chi Chih consists of 20 gentle but powerful movements for balancing your chi (intrinsic energy). Tai Chi Chih also strongly assists in creating a life of total health, energy, flexibility, and more.

Stability Ball Exercise

April 11th, 4 consecutive Mondays

(7:15-8:15 pm)

($30.00 for current fitness center members and $40 for non-fitness members, 4 week session)

Join others in learning another form of exercise that tones your abs, waist and other problem areas and increases flexibility.

 Eating For A Healthy Heart

March 16th, Wednesday, $5.00

(7-8:30pm)

Instructor: Susie Manternach, Finley Nutritionist

Susan will review the risk factors for heart disease and the latest targets for blood pressure and cholesterol levels. She will discuss dietary guidelines for limiting sodium, saturated fats and trans fats. She will report the latest information on specific foods to add to your diet to help reduce heart disease risk.

Informational Meeting for Interested Vendors

If you or anyone you know may be interested in participating in the 2005 Farmer’s Market, plan to attend this Informational Meeting for updated information and setting dates for this summer’s  Market.

If you cannot attend but wish to participate in the Market, you must contact Mary Mescher at Anam Ċara by March 28th at 563-852-7490.

 Hatha Yoga                                  

April 6th – May 11th , Mondays

(6:15pm-7:15pm) 6 weeks

($45.00  per 6 week session)

Instructor: Karen Kramer

Hatha Yoga unites body, mind, and spirit in a unique form of exercise that integrates breathing, postures, and mental focus. Yoga effectively reduces stress, promotes mental clarity and a feeling of well-being. Participants will learn some basic yoga techniques to put into regular practice.
